National Over 45s Ladies Champion (9.3.07)
Well done to Squash Coach Lesley Sturgess who won the National Squash Championships Ladies over 45’s in Manchester last month. The juniors enjoyed seeing the trophy at the training session the following Saturday
Children in Need Squashathon (9.3.07)
A staggering total of £5,214.10 was raised last November. An admirable well done to all competitors of the 12 hour squashathon, Steve, Glyn Pete, Paul, Nigel, Stuart, Lee and Nuno, to Stuart Ferguson for his organisation of the event, Keith Brailsford and Ian Hughes for overseeing the sponsorship monies. A big thank you to all sponsors, challengers, junior tennis section and helpers throughout the event

Squash award for all (1/3/07)
The committee is pleased to announce that a total of £4600 has been awarded to the Club for an “Outreach to Schools” programme.  This will enable us to train 10 coaches internally to Level 1 plus two coaches to Level 2 and then deliver a Mini-Squash programme to 12 local schools.  A big thank you to Adrian Murphy and Nigel Stilgoe
Club of the year (1.3.07)
The club came runner up in the Staffs LTA club of the year award due to it's development in the junior tennis section. A prize of £500 was presented by Jeremy Lemarchand - County Sports Development Officer
Squashathon in aid of children in Need November 18th (1.11.07)
Several squash members are taking part in a 12 hour sponsored marathon in aid of children in need. If you want to join them pleae contact Stuart Feruson or see the noticeboard for more details

Autumn Ball Oct 13th (1.09.07)

Squash Court insulation (01.09.07)
The squash courts have now been insulated. This will reduce our enormous gas bill significantly and also reduce condenstion on the walls and reduce the temperature difference between courts 2 and 4 due to slower heat loss.
Giant TV projector (1.6.07)
The club has installed a giant TV projector system in the clubhouse for big sporting events starting with the world cup this month.
Club Open Day - June 25th (12.5.07)
The club is holding it's annual open day on Sunday June 25th. There will be food, entertaiment and demonstrations etc. Please let any interested potential members know.
Treasure Hunt June 10th (12.5.07)

New Card access sytem (10.5.07)
The club has now installed  a new proximity card access system to replace the old system and improve security. The new system will allow us to disable cards when cards are loast or members resign from the club. Since the card is non contact it should prove to very reliable.
World Class Squash comes to Burton TSC (01.05.06)

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Smith as Club Tennis Coach. Alison is an ex professinal player, having played at Wimbledon in 1994 and is a qualified LTA level 2 coach. She can be contacted on 07970403079
New Winter Tennis Leagues Posted
The new winter tennis leagues are on the board.  They are handicap singles and rotational doubles.  Both leagues are designed to encourage members of all standards to compete; men, women and juniors.  If you would like to join then please put your name on the list for entry into the next league.

Open Day  (21.06.04)
The club's Open Day on June 20th was a great success with the courts full of activity, the sun shining, dozens of visitors and good few new members joining the club on the day - welcome to them all. Thanks to everyone that helped out esp Michael Basket for co-ordinating everything. The winner of the draw for the free membership was Gary Stewart.
Squash Court refurishment (21.05.04)
The 4 squash courts are to be refurburbished between June 1-4. Please see the noticeboard for court availability during this period.

Open Day Announced (26.3.04)
The official opening of Burton TSC's  new tennis facilites will be marked by an Open Day on Sunday June 20th 1 - 5 p.m. Activities will include exhibition games including disabled tennis, serve speed recorder and children's short tennis coaching. Members and non-members are all very welcome. The event will be followed by a barbecue in the evening. Again - all are welcome.
New Tennis Courts (10.10.03)
Work has begun on Burton TSC' new tennis facilities. This includes 4 new tarmac all weather courts and floodlights. The work will also involve the addition of a disabled lift to the courts and a disabled toilet. The project has been spear-headed by Jack Allison and Ian Tyson who have secured lottery funding and other grants to cover the majority of the cost including a £50,000 LTA loan to be paid back over 10 years. The courts are scheduled to be open in the Spring.
